VBulletin CP advice

I have had this mechanical information forum for a couple of years now .... It used to be the phpbb type (something like that?) and that was way easier to manipulate... I've had this VB one a year or so now and I still find it a beast to understand. ... Its driving me silly at the mo.

The problem is I've been trying to add a moderator to my forum for about a month. .. just had another go from within admin... I've allocated the user the titles I think?, they stay their ... Checked boxes, pushed this and that button... nope ... ...I done it before but I can't remember.

I just can’t get the new moderator to appear in the 'show all moderators' window… within the moderator manager (I think that’s my problem?)... I guess I'm looking for a panel that adds moderators...but I can't find one? :shrug:

Sorry FB, I can do SMF, INVISON and FUD, but not had the pleasure [or maybe displeasure] of running VBulletin. Surely one of the admin round here can advise though.

Its definitely my weapon of choice (vB).

Anyway, What you need to do is change the users primary usergroup to that of a super moderator or moderator (depending on the level of modship you want to give them, and whether you're using the default usergroupd on your forum).

There are actually a few ways of adding someoen as a moderator, depending on what your end results are. You can add them as a moderator of ALL forums (ie Super Moderator), a moderator of specific forums (Moderator), or you can even just assign someone moderator priveleges in one particular forum (a few ways of doing this).

Weapon of choice more like an entire battalion at your disposal... Marcel you 'n all the guys wield it very well btw.
