Has anybody else been following this developing story tonight? I first found out when one of my friends who lives in Toronto marked herself as safe. I didn't really look into it further until my fiance said "There's been an attack in Canada, Babe." I looked on Facebook for some articles and now I'm waiting for the prime minister to release a Facebook statement.
 
I dont think the prime minister releases "facebook statements". You could try a news site though.

dunno about that isn't facebook now the way to reach the largest audience?
 
He posts statements about any major news event, in Canada or anywhere else in the world. He said congratulations to the royal family on the birth of their newest child.

He is very active on social media and he did make a statement about the van attack.
 
As others said, if you want more info you should go for some news sites, not facebook.
