I have the rf602 wirelews triggers however can't seem to get them to work on bulb s[S2][/S2]etting on my 40d. I've tried connecting thr trigger with the cable and then attaching the button on top but pressing the button seems to open and close the shutter. I've tried holding the button down with no success. Anyone help with this?

Receiver plugs into the remote socket with appropriate cable. Don't attach the transmitter to the camera, just press and hold the button.

No need you have the transmitter in your hand and press the button.

Receiver can sit on the hotshoe rather than hanging down and the cable goes from the receiver to the remote socket. Like this

Then hold the button on the transmitter with the camera set to bulb mode and away you go.

I've tried working them wirelessly but without success. The transmitter is flashing when I press the button but nothing. The only time it works is when connecting the hotshoe together. Could the cr2 battery in it be flat? Haven't got one to hand to compare, but I've not used the triggers much.

Check the channels. Does it work at a normal flash trigger?

Receiver batteries flat? You forgotten to turn it off and left it on for a while? Has it ever worked?

The receiver light when you switch it in is red then goes off after a few seconds then it should flash red occasionally to indicate it is switched on. When you half press the transmitter button it goes green then a full press it goes red.

Sounds like you have the duff batteries, not switched it on or not on the correct channel just like him above said.
