It's not free but pixelrights seem to be rather good and very clean. It also helps to prevent copyright infringement with how t shows images + other means that I'll be honest I haven't looked at.
I use Wix now and really like it. There's a bit of a learning curve but lots of tutorial videos and the usual Google of "Wix plus your problem" will find an answer. It's easier than Wordpress and a whole load less maintenance wise, but there's less flexibility with things like SEO and such. If I was trying to make a living off it (i.e. I want traffic from search engines), I'd probably reconsider, but for my vanity site, it's fine. The thing that sold it for me over other similar sites, is the complete flexibility to build a site you want rather than going from templates. You can also design as many sites as you want for free allowing you to create multiple iterations of your site until you find the one you like.
