Using two 430EX II as outdoor flashes

Hi guys

Currently looking at taking the plunge and buying two 430EX II units to pair with my Canon 7D as an outdoor flash setup. I mainly do automotive photography and was wondering before I make the purchase and start reading up on flash photography techniques etc will I need anything else E.G. Wireless remote triggers as well? (I have thought of stands already )

If anyone could compile a little list of what I'll need that would be really helpful

Batteries, Stands, modifiers (softbox/brolly/grids/reflectors), triggers/receivers - (do you need ETTL triggers)?

Pretty much then good to go

Tripod. A lot of automotive photographers use multiple exposures moving the light source. Have a look at GF Williams work, mostly done with a single light source. He also has some post processing tutorials on youtube that are worth a watch.

Have been reading up on the triggers for the 7D and 430EX II and believe its optical so shouldnt have a problem running two from the internal wireless on my camera? I have seen ETTL (and going to start researching into it once I have purchased the flashes as I have alot of time off from work) But can someone just give me a quick idea what it is/what it stands for?

ETTL allows the camera to monitor and control the flash output.

It's biggest advantages are with on camera flash and with high speed sync.

The disadvantages are longer recycle times, and exposures changing dramatically with slight changes to framing.

Your flashes will wirk with the Yongnuo 622 triggers, all of the control is done from the camera menus.

You'll get more consistent results using Manual flash. But for me, the price difference between good vanilla flash triggers and the YN cheap ETTL ones makes it a no brainier.
