I currently use a canon 580EX but would like to buy a second flash. I dont have the money I used to and was considering the YN-460 II. The 580EX is triggered remotely when my on camera flash fires. Would the YN-460 II work with the 580EX as a slave?

Basically I guess i'm trying to find out how the YN system works, if anyone could enlighten me?

Hi, there, I may be barking up the wrong tree...bit tired :)

I've got a Nikon flash and a Yongnuo YN460-II and managed to get both flashes off camera by: putting the Yongnuo wireless controller on camera, the Yongnuo receiver on the SB600, set the Yongnuo speedlight to S1 and the Nikon flash on Manual....and both flashes worked, off camera.

Not sure if this is the answer to your question and whether your Canon flashes work in the same way as my Nikon.

Cheers.
