Using ST E2 on 5D mk3

Hi

Does anyone know of any issues using the above combo with 580EX IIs?

After my recent posts and deliberations, I'm inclined towards the older flash ( have Radio Poppers for them ) rather than the more expensive and not entirely backward compatibl ( I have a mk 2 as well ) 600 EX RTs.

I just want to stick an STE2 onto my 5D mk3 and use the RPs to trigger 580 EX IIs but I recall hearing there might be issues.

I've used them without problem, you do loose the flash control via the 5D mkIII menu system.
