using old graphx card with new system?

Having just built my new PC (ASUS Z97-A, Intel 4690K, Kingston 8Gb DDR-3 1186) I've been advised that my old VTXD 2GB Radeon HD 5450 DDR3 PCI-E 2.1 Graphics card would make a small improvement to my system by taking some pressure off the CPU. Personally I thought that with my GFX Card being so old, the on board graphics chip would offer far superior results.

The onboard Intel 4600 GPU benches much faster than the ati 5450.

I'd probably go with the graphics adaptor if you have one on the basis that most motherboards will only offer a very basic on-board chip.

It also depends what apps you're using and how much GPU acceleration they offer.

Yeah I agree Intel much better

Just as I thought, maybe i'll just leave it in the old system and pass it on to my nephew then.
