I wasn't looking for an astro tracker but thanks to a very poorly described one I'm now the owner of this

The picture was just the alloy tracker and it just said "with tripod" so nobody bid serious money on it

Could've been a tripod from Asda but luckily it wasn't

Just got to work out how it works now :D

no instructions

Looks like a serious bit of kit!

Hopefully there are identification marks on it to aid finding instructions online???

Thanks for that, found this so I can start , if it ever stops raining

I found the specific support page here with links to pdf manual etc

Oops! Same page.......I had clicked on the drop down and thought my copy URL was on the product link(next one under 'General'.

Best of luck with the learning curve and to getting some great starscape images :)

I have one of these, actually never used in anger, that I bought at Astrofest about 8 years ago for circa £600 new with polarscope. One of these days...

£190 + comission , about £230, if the auctioneers had bothered to take the tripod out of the bag and spend 5 minutes setting it up it'd have gone got a lot more , I'm thankful they're lazy

None of that is likely though , it does fit inside the tube and in a bag so it's very portable

My astrotracker is a much smaller (& more limited) bit of kit basically just a GPS for the camera that allows the IBIS to track the stars. I've never got round to trying it properly due to poor skies (clouds when I've been away & light pollution nearer home). Maybe one day!

Just hope you get the same level of luck with the weather!!
