Just got hold of a Sekonic 358 (long term loan from my Uncle).
So the first thing I did was try to use it to get a blown white background.
Image below was taken as follows:
1) Background wall lit by a single speed-light with wide integral angle filter on. Incident reading was f22.
2) Subject (about 6 feet from BG) was lit from side with flash goboed to prevent as much spill as possible onto background. Flash adjusted to get incident reading of f16.
3) Camera set to f16 and baff - straight out of camera - just cropped and some post resize sharpen.
Loads easier then endless chimping. Image seems to have good separation and doesn't seem too blown in that the white paper has go separation from the BG.
Next I want to try it with my hilite and get that working properly.
