If covering team A you would normally site near team Bs goal.. But with a 400 I am getting better pics of the attack at the other end... so sitting next to team A goal to shoot team A attacking at the other end seems a better option... anyone found simmilar?

Would most of team A's action on the attack have its back to you?

you would think wouldnt you... But no.. and celebration shots have been brilliant coming away from goals... its not guesswork.. this is what i see from the couple of matches I ahve used it at.. wondered if anyone else has same..

Certainly in higher leagues with segregated fans, I've found that quite often when scoring the players will turn away from the ends and go back towards the dugouts! Of course, Saturday's Bellamy goal was different...but he couldn't have failed to notice that they were Cardiff fans in that corner.

OK, i can see where you are coming from with that. In fact i had similar with the Charlton goal at the weekend. Scored at other end, player ran straight up the pitch towards me, so yes in that sense i can see it working. I suppose the question is how many shots would you be sacrificing for the chance of getting that cele?

I am at MK Dons v Blackpool tonight, i have no particular team to cover so might give it a try tonight and concentrate on the far end of the pitch

I only used goal cele as example.. i get good pics of goals and corners and goalmouth scrambles...

using a close lens you can end up with player kicking ball as goal shot.. at other end you get the whole scene.. with L glass and a good body youc an pull it up to perfection..

only wish i could show you :(

Yep the celes often head back to the dugout if B's fans are at that end. I've also had good results shooting As attack from the other end with a 1.4 on, and some celebrations in that mix too, but only when their ams aren't at their end.

So maybe the logic works like this:

Team A shoots towards away fans in 1st half - shoot them from the side in Bs half or from the other end.

Second half - they are shooting towards their own fans. Shoot from that end to get the incoming A attack and the celes.

Also means you don't need to move :-)

Tobers thats the way I have been thinking of approaching it..

So.... i tried this last night. I can see where you are coming from here Tony. I got some goal shots (albeit not great for one reason or another), and for other shots/saves got plenty of the action in. 3 goals scored at that end but unfortunately none of the cele's ran towards the bench!!

I think my problem last night was i picked the wrong end!!
