Hi all,

Looking to upgrade my setup to include a couple of Canon 430EX II's.

Ideally, I'd want both of them off camera, how would I go about doing this with a 6D that obviously doesn't have a built in flash?

I've briefly read about triggers in the past. Would adding a trigger mounted to the camera act as the 'main' unit to fire off both 430's?

Thanks in advance guys.

This guy knows all about Speedlites. Some if his stuff may be worth a read before you decide.

Yongnuo 622C triggers is what you want. You'll need 3 for a start, and possible more if you get another flash later.

This is the short answer. Or rather, two 622 transceivers and one 622-TX transmitter.

The flash market is awash with new stuff almost everyday ATM, but the YNs are proven and amazing value. ST-E2 is old technology (light code) and radio is far better.

As above, your setup is begging for a YN622tx and a pair of YN622s. Everything you can imagine needing and a bit more besides.

I have two 430 EXll flashes which I use off camera with three Yongnuo 622C wireless triggers, and the system works very well indeed.

IMO, these Yongnuo units, represent very good value for money.

I should perhaps add, that I use a 5D Mklll, which doesn't have a built in flash.

Dave
