Saw a post on Reddit that might be of interest. I’ll post the whole thing here.

For the sake of clarity, I don’t have the app, and have no links to the author, but it allows you to collate all the info about film and when it expires and where it is.

Who doesn't know the struggle, half of the fridge is filled with expired rolls in all sizes a flavors that you scraped out of a clueless wife's freezer, some of that juicy Plus-X expired in '86, some in 2003.

But wait, which roll did I put in my black paint M3 and which in my F2 titan? How am I supposed to know now which one I should stand develop in Rodinal for 1 hour and which one for 60 minutes? I present you the perfect solution to keep track on whats in your fridge and loaded in your precious cameras: FilmStock! Now you can sit on your sofa, scroll through all the film your hoarded that you will never shoot and show it to your annoyed friends.

I started this as a little fun project to get back to mobile dev and because I have a little film hoarding issue. Several times I forgot if that HP5 I loaded expires in 2026 or if it was one of the old bulk rolls expired in the 90s. Also I really like to catalog and organize my stuff, which is pretty easy to do with scans, negatives and prints - for films so far I only had a very s***ty excel sheet.

I am also a big fan of old packaging designs and film reminder cards so I wanted to incorporate a little collecting feature where I can upload my own cards for each film.

So what the app does:

- You can add films in all kind of formats, add (several) expire dates and comments

- The app should automatically detect common film stocks and add a drawn by me film reminder card to it. Even better if you upload your own - it will be added to your collection.

- You can "load" a film to one of your cameras (which you can add in the process), that way you know what you currently have in your camera. Once you finished your roll and un-loaded the film, the roll will be deducted from your inventory.

- You can add a widget to your home screen - it will show the film reminder card(s) of the currently loaded films with optionally info about the film overlayed.

- I tried to make the film inventory as flexible and filterable as possible

Only for iOS for now: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/analog-filmstock/id6755291709

Would love to hear any feedback or ideas what to add but most importantly I'm happy if it's useful for someone.
