Having sorted a driver for a baby printer, I realised I needed a USB cable to connect it. Rather than disconnecting something from the desktop, I decided to get a dedicated travelling one to live with the baby printer. Since I was visiting PCWorld for something else, I had a look there - even their budget ones were the thick end of fifteen quid! Not 100 yards from PCW is a Tesco so, knowing that they sell some 'puter kit, I thought it was worth a punt and a micron of shoeleather. Too right it was! Under 2 quid for the evry item I was after.

I'm sure there are differences between USB leads but all I wanted was a lead to connect the mini-lappy to the printer - and what I got does just that and is almost certainly as good as the £15 one from PCW.

less a case of £2 being a bargain, more a case of the £15 ones from pcw being a complete rip off :P

I assume the £15 one in PCWorld is a Belkin.

They can be picked up for £5 delivered online.

But yes a £2 cable will do the exact same thing as a £15. They might have less sheilding though but in real world situations that makes little difference to transfer speeds.

places like ebuyer and other online retailers will sell these for less than a pound. but for the high street £2 is a good deal.
