Urgent advice needed..I might get eaten!

I got back yesterday and am covered in midge bites!!! and I went with every deterrent under the sun, multiple types of spray wipes nets etc etc but no Avon. But I always get attacked everywhere I go. It must be my blood type or something?? my father came away with one bite on the arm?!?!?!?
