Beginner Uploading photos

Hi. I am new to the site and keep getting the erroe message "file too big" when trying to upload my photos. How can I compress them without losing the integrity of the photo?

try this one its the one I use and free, I find reducing to 1024x 768 works well' it is in a drop down list there

Sorted with resizing. Have uploaded for all to see. Hope to get some feedback soon.

when you have transferred to something like photobucket, from there you can post them onto here by copying the" img" box and paste that onto here (left click in box to go blue then right click to copy drop down list)
