uploading issues

Hello

I have been having trouble working on images in photoshop, deciding on appropriate contrasts etc, and then uploading into a gallery and finding that the contrast is much less once uploaded.



Is this a common problem people have or something to do with how my laptop displays the screen for local files?
Searched the forum but couldn't see any threads.

When you view an image in Photoshop, you're viewing it correctly, with the proper colour profile.

Browsers normally by default don't have colour management / profiles enabled

Im sure someone else will respond with a better answer.

I couldn't see anywhere in Firefox to manage colour profiles, but that makes good sense, that it is a browser issue. Will try safari to see if it looks different.

then set gfx.color_management.enabled to true

restart firefox and check here http://www.color.org/version4html.xalter

Part of the problem is your images are not using the sRGB colour space, they are tagged with the camera profile which seems a bit strange. The camera profile is a device profile not a working space and shouldn't be assigned to an image in the first place

Thanks for this - i tried this and it failed so i upgraded firefox to V3 added the firefox Colour management GUI and the difference is very very noticeable - also installed the latest sRGB profile
