Upcycling - lens and camera storage

Anyone with clever ideas for storing cameras and lenses? I've got an old blanket box and I've put all the lens and camera boxes at the bottom. Need something for the 2nd layer to hold cameras and lenses safely.

Perhaps something to level the top of the lens and camera boxes, then a thin piece of plywood on top to form a base for the second layer.

Foam can be bought online in a number of different sizes and densities. This could put on top of the ply and cut to accommodate the cameras and lenses as the second layer.

No, just my day to day stuff - plus cameras (4) that I've bought or had donated for use with kids in schools.

is this a good idea....?

i would think that in a box with (foam) around and above - there will be minimal air circulation

and the lenses will be in the dark

all the prerequisites for mould and fungus..?

I buy large bags of silica gel to go in with my camera stuff.

No foam - just a simple framework. There is a large vent at the top where you put your hands to lift up the lid.
