You'd think so, but I know Sigma for one advise against using them and there was a recent thread on here where a Sigma buyer had to return it because they we'rent covered.

That said I think Canon are a European warranty so it shouldn't make any difference.
 
And don't forget that friends buy from friends on Amazon.. (5% that goes around, comes around..)

Amazon Associate accounts, free.. don't add to the sales price, but the referer gets c.5% (depends what is bought) for the introduction. It's like a cashback deal for altruists.

It's also a way that forums can use to generate revenue, but surprisingly few do.
