A foreign manufacturer website (they make OEM night vision stuff) has very cheekily pinched one of my pics to use as a banner. No request, nothing. (I found it doing a tineye search)

The concerning thing is that this image is under an exclusive license to a UK organisation for web use (yes I did get a reasonably good fee) so I have to chase them up over it.

Has anyone had any experience of getting chines websites to remove images that they shouldn't be using?

The ironic thing is that the hi-tech night vision kit is being promoted by an image shot on a shutterless film camera with nary an electrical circuit in sight..

I wouldn't hold your breath. Try contacting them and see what they say and it might be worth contacting their ISP as well.
Get screen grabs to show or for court if it ever gets that far.

In my experience it is very difficult when it's a foreign company/website. You could try contacting the hosting company and see if they will take the site down until the picture has been removed - but the chances of getting payment are very slim. On the other hand I've had 100% success with UK companies / websites who have done the same sort of thing. Good luck!
