Umbrellas

I do, but I had to buy an hot shoe and umbrella stand like this

I have two of those on light stands with shoot through umbrellas

tape one to the tripod?? adaptor is the way to go mind

No prob.

I'd say thats still possible, with a bit of fiddling.

If you could fix your flash to your tripod, you could cable tie of llash an umbrella to the tripod in the right posn. Crude but would work. You'd be limited to the angle it fires in though.

The guy I have gleemed most info from in various threads and posts is Flash In the Pan. I'm sure if he pops along and comments he'd have some more advice on this!

Something along those lines is what I was thinking, being cheap! :D Would the umbrella be too heavy to attach to the tilting flash head then?

Aah, I see what you mean! I guess that depends on the flash itself, the size of the brollie and the quality of the lashing/fixing.

I small ish brollie and a decent tied square lashing might do it.....

Cool, I'll be interested to know how it goes mate, good luck with it.
