I am considering a new lens for the d7000 and cannot decide between

Nikon 10-24mm
Sigma 10-20mm
Tamron 10-24mm

They all seem to get similar reviews plus or minus and nothing that says buy this one over than one and I am hoping that you can provide some guidance. I want to ignore the cost, that is not to say it is not relevant, just that I want to get the best quality for taking pictures.

The main use would be for architectural, with occasional landscape and I do not want a fisheye style lens. I will PP in CS5 using ACR, which when combined with the correction in the d7000 will hopefully sort out any wide angle distortion.

I wonder if you could give me your thoughts and suggestions as to the better of these - or other similar lenses?

Many Thanks

Iain

There's only one Ultrawide i would look at for your camera. Tokina 11-16 f2.8.

Or if you don't need f/2.8, how about the sigma 8-16mm?

Supposed to distort a bit at 8mm, but very, very little distortions at 12mm beyond.

The only reason I sold my Tokina 11-16 was when i purchased my Nikkor 14-24 f2.8, and i must say, on the d300s, the Tokina was a superb lens.
