Watched it last night, being an older man there is only one lady on it I like ( fancy ), Carol... but from what I seen unless she improves she won't be on it very long

Throwing the TV out of an upstairs window would take precedence over strictly.

It is terrible and it only gets worse ... maybe that's the attraction ...... but you have to watch at least part of it ......... Len needs to follow Bruce ... it fact the panel need a revamp

That's what I don't really understand.
If someone really enjoys watching that kind of drivel, then fair play to them.
But acknowledging how bad one of these programmes is (and there's plenty of them as I understand it), and then STILL watching it is a mystery to me.
I can only assume that they really do enjoy it, but won't admit it.
Even if it's something the other half likes, I couldn't sit and watch it.

Its like a car crash, some people just can't help but look, morbid curiosity I believe they call it ;)

My theory is, most of the population are addicted to TV, and the programme makers know this,
so what ever crap they turn out will be a "success" ;)
I believe there is also a programme about people watching TV?
Now that really is the bottom of the barrel !

Gogglebox? A colleague mentioned it the other day. Don't know about the bottom of the barrel, I think they've gone through the base and into the ground beneath!

Yes! Google box.
Folk at work babble on about it.

Gogglebox?
Yes! Google box.
Thanks folks, I didn't know what it was called, but had heard it mentioned in the past.

But seriously? how addicted to TV do you have to be, to actually watch people watching TV?
What's next a programme about people watching people watching people watching TV?

I've watched a couple of series with Strictly with my wife, but I've had enough now. It's just the same every year, but with different 'celebs' (most of whom I don't recognize) shuffling about to poorly-chosen music (Tango to Abba? Really?). What really annoys me is the filler bits which are dull and pointless and are only needed because of their insistence on shooting it live.

We record it because the children like to watch the dances (and not the filler) the next day (which is how I know about the Abba tango). It's cute watching them fling themselves around but there's no way I'd waste my Saturday and Sunday evenings on it anymore. The good news is, it keeps my wife happy whilst I play games on the computer (currently on Assassins Creed 4. Pirates FTW) or go and rattle some pans in the kitchen, and she can't then complain when MOTD comes on.

Yup, the Gogglebox Gogglebox Gogglebox special.

At which point reality TV will condense to a singularity called a crapon, distorting freetime and sucking in the unwary who cross the "Total Nonevent Horizon".
