Is it just me.

Of recent I seem to notice that more and more TV docus have annoying music/ superfluous sound effects going on whilst some is speaking or during commentary.

I watched a vet docu on Tuesday and could could barely hear what the vet was describing because of some sort of piano jazz in the background.

Does my head in:bonk:

No. It's not just you. I think it's the young element employed in the tv industry. They find themselves confronted with whizzy technology and lots of buttons and think they must squeeze in every sound effect possible supposedly to impress us all and to make it look like they're earning their money. Complain and the end result is they are always right and the viewer is always wrong.

Cheers Michael - I was thinking it had become the "in thing" to do. Probably a great topic of discussion among the cliques in TV.

The music I can just about live with, it is the endless recaps of what happened 5 minutes ago that does my head in.
