Tungsten Lighting

Hello all just joined and its a great site .
Basicly I've been given a tungsten set up with 2 500w heads a white umberella a beauty dish ( I think its called ) and a black and a white back drop and I dont know how to use it ?? haha. If any one got any advice on how to use it I'll only be doing B/W shots . Basic advice is what I need coz I'm clueless in metering light position etc , or if some one can recommend a book would be great :bonk::shrug:

BnW as in using film or just thats what you like when you shoot digi?

if digi I say play about, and think about doing things other than pure white bg with the white bg as thats just massively easier with 2 heads ( I really like graduated grey, maybe think about gelling a colour on there through some restrictive mod)

if film..... I have no idea, I set it up digi then move to film, though all things considered it shouldn't be too hard as I just realised you were continuous light not flash :bang:
