Please help
I recently took some photos of the moon with a tripod.I took about 10 decent images but I'm wanting to stack them in order to make it a little sharper with more detail.I've looked at a few tutorials with photoshop (I have lightroom too) but when I get to the last hurdle the image comes out all blurred because the photos don't line up.Here's the method which I've tried

1. Use File -Scripts -Load Files Into Stack
When doing this tick both "Attempt to Automatically Align Source images" and "Create Smart object after Loading Layers"
2. Select the Smart object
3. Go to Layer - Smart Objects - Stack Mode - Median

Like I said this is the option which is discussed on most places I've looked at.
What am I doing wrong or worse still is what I'm trying to do actually impossible
Thanks in advance

Have you tried Registax, free Astro stacking programme??

I recommend that you take sequential photos, ie press the shutter and camera shoots either low or high sequential shots. maybe 8 or more shots in a second or two.

I have found that if the shots are taken too far apart, the object (moon or stars) have moved enough for stacking programmes find it difficult to align..............

Can't really comment on photoshop, but I do use LR6+. Registax is better though IMHO

See if you can goto this link (Olympus camera forum)....http://e-group.uk.net/forum/showthread.php?t=46679

Good luck..
