I was taking a picture of my dog in my studio, and he kept turning orange,what am I doing wrong, is it the lighting or me?

As said, it's most likely the white balance, are you shooting in RAW? If so it's very easy to correct, what editing software do you use?

On your camera there should be an icon on the back screen that looks like "AWB" in a box, it's worth reading your manual on White Balance as it will explain how to adjust it, it also provides some good tips on using it to create a mood.

As said, it should be in your menus somewhere. Dependant on what type of light you are using to shoot your subject will depend on the colour your picture will come out.
