Tron Legacy

A fantastic film, I watched it in the cinema when it first came out in 1981, got the DVD and there is a Tron FPS game for the PC which is actually very good (it has a light cycle section in there but I found the game overall to be very playable).
Tron was very unusual by something made by Disney in the sense people got "killed" in that film, a very rare move for Disney at the time. And did you know that only 7 minutes of CGI took up that film?
It does look all very ropey and very ragged at the ends when compared to today's CGI efforts but still a groundbreaking film in it's own right.
I really think a sequel should be made using today's CGI wizardy, no harm in Hollywood giving it a go. :naughty:

They are...according to my Bro who's at a sci-fi convention in San Diego as we speak - it's been on the cards for a while and just got the green light - no news on director or cast as yet...

Excellent news! I shall be watching out for developments then. Perhaps they could bring back Jeff Bridges, but as a father rescuing his progammer son from the same fate, etc, etc. :geek:
Just googled it up, it looks like they wanted to call it TR2N but now the working title is settled at Tron Legacy.

Sorry about the Apple link my cuss had the same problem with his pc,
To Clear Something up here if you search for Tron legacy which is what the link was for its the effects real trailer for the new tron Movie some 27 years later makes it the longest wait for a sequel. Well Worth the wait from what ive seen. The fact that Geoff Bridges is old in it and De aged For the Computer character is nice.
I hear all the stunts are done by real athletes in order to keep it more real...Yeah if only i could walk into a bike shop and get a deposit on one of the bikes oh yeah Baby
