I know this is a very often seen question, but I have a slight twist to it. I'm after a tripod, that can be used for the camera out and about, so not too heavy, yet at the same time can be used to mount my 80mm short tube telescope on when I'm off camping and thus needs to be really rather sturdy. The scope plus bits probably weighs in at about 2Kg, the camera by comparison is negligible. For the scope use it needs a head that will allow me to point the scope vertically upwards and yet at the same time allow for reasonably smooth movement. I'm on a bit of a restricted budget, up to about £100. I was thinking about the red snapper Tripod, and possibly the ball head I've seen posted. What would you suggest ?
