Tripod Recommendations

Hi, this is my first post so - Hello!

I've recently upgraded from an old Lumix G3 to a Canon 800d. My current tripod (a Slik Pro II) is struggling to cope with the weight of the camera especially with bigger lenses like my Sigma 105 Macro - before I was just using a Macro adaptor. It was fine with my G3 but no more, so I'm looking for an upgrade. I'd like something at least to some degree portable as I usually hike with my gear. Any help would be great, thanks.

The reviews look OK also £50 cash back at the moment and a 10 year guarantee , dont forget you will need a quality head unit
 
I opted for its slightly beefier bother the Manfrotto MT 055CXPro04 a little bit more but still has the £50 cashback deal.
£236 after cashback from Wex.
Remember both of these don’t come with a head, add about £100 for a decent one.
I bought mine about a year ago and paid £299 but they came with a choice of free head, I opted for the Mag ball head.
This holds my D500 and 150-600mm, rock solid.
 
Thanks for the replies, I think Manfrottos look a better option with the lower minimum height for some Macro stuff.
 
055CXPro isn't that light even though it's carbon fibre. Add a head and it's quite a beast to attach to backpack.

The 190CXpro is less to carry any distance.

Just how significant this is depends on your definition of 'to some degree portable'. - and how well you think the 190CXPro will handle the size and weight of the 800d + lens.

They will for sure. But from experience will also disintegrate one day. I binned 3 190s. 055 may be stronger as its bigger. It's not a brand I'm comfortable buying again.
