Recently started playing around with HDR and found an old Jessops Atlantic 220 in the garage. My walkabout lens is an Oly 12-60 on an E30.
The stand is kind of ok but the head is diabolical, fiddly to adjust and your subject can completely disappear from the viewfinder when locking in. Since the tripod has been out I have also tried some closeups using my 70-300 at the long end and its completely unusable.
As I'm on a tight budget could I just get a decent head and drop it onto the tripod - i.e. are they intrchangeable?
Also any thoughts on pan & tilt vs ball?
