I would like to get the reallyrightstuff tripod head bh-55

but as its not sold in the region where i am could you suggest which will be better/you will recommend:

-bh-55 - Full-Size Ballhead with Lever-Release Clamp
-bh-55 Full-Size Ballhead with PCL-1 Panning Clamp
-bh-55 Full-Size Ballhead with B2-Pro II screw-knob clamp

As i cant test it myself which will you suggest and which is best, stable reliable.

Thank you

RRS recommends the screw-knob clamp, if you're using non-RRS plates due to smaller tolerances in the lever-release clamp.

The panoclamp is - of course! - if you're mainly into landscape and/or panning photography.

Price $575...

$210 alternative for cheapskates - like yours truly :D

You won't find many RRS users around here, including me.

I dislike the lever-lock types, and I'm not alone. Apart from the plate-compatibility issue, I just don't find them as good. Personally I'd get the pan-clamp version, but not if you don't need it.

Also look at Arca-Swiss Z1, unless you consider the RRS-55's extra weight is beneficial.

Edit: don't forget to add local import tax/VAT to RRS prices, plus shipping.

Screw type for me as well, few turns is hardly an onerous task

Might be worth looking at Markins too, can't fault mine
