Hi all

I'm in the market for a new tripod - this time carbon fibre, as I'm sick and tired of lugging my aluminium beast everywhere!

Does anyone have any recommendations for one? My main kit will be a Canon 7d and Sigma 50-500mm mounted on this, so not the heaviest kit in the world.

It's used for all forms of wildlife togging, birds, mammals, from boats, etc.

Thanks in advance

Danny

Would a monopod be an easier/lighter option? (Depending how much sitting in one place or walking you actually do of course)

Manfrotto 190xprob in carbon. Light and the centre column can go horizontally to get really low.

Check out a company called redsnapper. Depends on your budget but these are not expensive compared to many out there and there built extremely well!

Cheers will have a look at their range. Budget is around £200, and if I can sneak in a decent head that will support the siggy500 and 7d in that price then all the better!
