Tripod for under £200

Hi Guys, Im looking for a new tripod after the leg on my old one decided to snap in half :shrug:

I have a budget of £200. I want it for shooting long exposures, sometimes (but not very often) in windy conditions.

Again, suggestions would be appreciated.
 
For windy conditions, get solid 3 section aluminium tripod instead of traveller 4 or 5 section carbon models. And if there is hook for additional weight, use it.

I recommend Gitzo 2 series (aluminium or basalt fibre models).

Im sorry but you can not compare the manfrotto to the redsnapper and come out with 'redsnapper is better'

The redsnapper is horrible to adjust and is pretty prone to actually falling apart due to its twist design. For the money its good but really with the budget in mind its not a company to consider.
 
Hi, I use CF tripods most of the time but for windy conditions I go to the Benbo Trekker tripod, it does take a little getting used to but once you get the hang of it like most things it becomes second nature.
You can buy them well within your price range.

One thing if you don't no, In windy conditions never use the center column in-fact I stay away from it 99% of the time.

I used a 3-section Red Snapper fitted with a Giottos head and it's good (for £120 all in), especially if you hang a bit of ballast from the hook underneath. However, some of those mid-range manfrottos are really good for stability.... think the one I have in the office is a 055
