I'm looking for a small-ish tripod base to go onto a monopod or action camera selfie stick. I know it's rubbish compared to a proper tripod, but I need something small and light for a holiday, something I can bung in a pocket with the action 5 selfie stick for the odd shots of walking past.
Any suggestions? Dont want to spend a ton of money, but I want a half decent one. Thanks,

you mean a tripod head to attach to monopod or selfie stick Wayne?

If it is a mini tripod you are looking for then we have a Sirui which is great (but hard to find!).

I presume you mean the tripod base/ legs that fold up or down so the monopod stands on its own .. if that’s the case don’t waste your money there not that good

It was the base I was after, something to stand a selfie stick with an action camera for a few shots. I've seen some somewhere and the guy had a Godox AD400 and softbox I think on it (I wouldn't have) but it seemed to work for him. I'm only after shots of walking past the camera and stuff, and it wont hurn much if it falls over, it's designed for a few bumps.
Thanks for the replies.

If it’s just for lightweight stuff Wayne how about a fishing bank stick you can push it into the ground . Just need to adapt the top thread or check out go pro accessories

I have one I never use. I bought it thinking it might help with heavier lenses in a hide but it didn’t work for me. I’ll check it out when I’m home tonight.

A couple of my "selfie" sticks (I use them with a GoPro for snorkelling video) have tripod threads in the hand end. IF yours does, then a cheapish mini tripod could be screwed into it to provide a higher-than-just-the-mini-tripod PoV.

A thought came to me about possibly finding a base that can be added to a walking cane. I have no idea if these are available for adding to an existing cane, but you might find one. They have three very short legs with rubber non-slip feet, but I doubt that they will be stable enough to support a camera without holding onto the monopod, but it would get you a bigger base. The canes with these bases will stand on their own if nothing is added to them.
