Sorry if this is in the wrong thread. What I am lokking for is specific to Football I think. I am looking for a tripod/base, possibly with spiked feet to hold a camera for behind the goal action. The item I have in mind has three feet, but in heavy duty gauge steel wire with a treaded mount for a camera or a ball & tilt type head. I have used a small Velbon Tripod previously but I'm not happy with it. Could the Football togs on this forum recommend what they use and where it can be obtained?

All replies very welcome.:)

I also have a 709B tabletop tripod, as James says they're great. These also look really good http://www.overxposed.com/ although I can't see any prices (expensive I bet) I guess you would need to email them in the states & see if there are any stockist over here & how much.
I've done a search but couldn't find anyone in UK who sells them.

Stew.

Also use the Manfrotto 709B, easily holds the weight of a 1D + lens and is low in height.

I think you will want something that will fall over if hit by the ball, rather than staying rigid or stuck into the ground and end up snapping a mount or lens off.
