Trip to Vienna anybody?

If you've got a few days to spare and a few thousand euros burning a hole in your wallet how about a trip to Vienna for this auction

Lowest estimates seem to range from4,000 to 400,000 Euros

If I didn't already have one of the 35mm f1.4 lenses that's on that, I'd be tempted .

Apart from the fact that it's a wee bit on the bulky side!

Shame they will end up in glass cabinets and not be used. Although understandable I suppose....not sure if I would fancy wandering around Manchester with a gold Leica around my neck.

Exactly that.

I guess it's a case of do you use it like it was intended, or keep it safe so as to reduce the risk of a one of a kind falling out of existence? Something as rare as this, I tend to side with the latter personally.
