Would say get to cairns in queensland, beautiful forests, spot on place. how long are you going for?
 
All depends on you really and what you want to shoot. Sydney has lots of sights (Darling Harbour, Opera House, Bridge) just to name a few. There are also lots of street photo that are just waiting to be shot.... far to many to name but I'm sure you will have a really good time.
