I have 2 b1's that I use the Profoto Air Remote to control and trigger. If I wanted to also trigger another brand, could I plug a trigger into the sync port on my camera (D810) and they would both work together?

Not sure about that, normal method is to daisy chain the triggers so one fires the next but that might be a problem on a Profoto Air TTL as I think they removed the in/out sockets but they should be there on the older sync or remote versions.

Yes there is no plug/socket on the Air TTL remote, however was wondering if I could plug another remote into the sync port, and keep the Air remote on the hotshoe.

I'll have a play with my speed lights when i get home to see if I can bodge it with a sync cord.

I'd suggest putting the Air remote onto the hotshoe of a receiver from an alternative trigger system.

When I mix speedlights with my Safari, I stick the Safari trigger onto the hotshoe of a YN 622c, which I stick in my pocket, then I can control power of the speedlights from the camera hotshoe mounted 622tx and the Safari from the trigger in my pocket

Good idea will give that a try cheers

Photocells aren't reliable with high ambient light levels.

What other strobes are you considering buying.

It looks like you'll end up with a mish mash, lots of modern lights (all your list) have their own bespoke triggers, some cheap YN 603's with the bespoke triggers sat in the hotshoe of the receivers is probably the easiest, or 603's on cords into the sync sockets and just pocket the custom triggers for controlling power (might work if everything has sync ports).
