In the past I have just used a cable for getting my 430 Exii off camera, but I now have two and am looking at a proper wireless set-up. I have seen Yongnuo recommended, but I really need some advice on what will work with my flashguns and a 5D3 and 7D2. There seems to be a number of options which will work with "compatible flashguns" but I can't find out what is compatible and what isn't.

Thank you in advance :-)

You can buy the Canon ST E3 or the Yongnuo equivalent YN E3.

Thanks Phil. Is that the YN E3 RT which is the one that comes up when I search for YN E3? Would I need a receiver as well? Sorry, I have no experience of wireless triggers and want to make sure . get it right.

I'm not sure if this will work with your flashes (as I don't have a canon flash), but I really like my yn622c-tx. Easy to use, if has failed to trigger the flash I can't remember (so probably very few times) and fairly cheap.

You could use a Yongnuo YN622CTX on the hotshoe, plus a YN622C under each flash unit. That will give you full control over the flash guns and the ability to set flash power individually. Worked well for me when I was on Canon.
I did put them in the classifieds, but no-one was interested. Hint!!!

Sorry.
Scrap that, I read 430 ex iii.

You'll need YN622tx C and 2 x YN622C

Alternatively, the Godox X1t and to X1 receivers. All Canon too

The Yongnuo work perfectly, the Godox is a better bet if you fancy going to bigger lights later as it all works together.

There might be some Yongnuo triggers in the classifieds soon ;)

Brilliant, thank you all. There is a set in classifieds at present so I will probably get those (sorry Phil!).

There are some there already.
OP has found some, but not mine. Sob, sob(n)

Sorry, I did look for yours but couldn't spot them (I looked in both Canon and Accessories). And having just bought the second flash off Chris, I feel I really ought to get the triggers off him as well.

Sorry!

Think mine might have dropped into archive now. Not to worry. You won't go far wrong with them.

I also have a bunch of four YN622 receivers (for Canon) plus Tx unit. If anyone's interested, I'll pop them in the classifieds :)

Sorry, I have now bought the set from Chris - hope you both get takers for yours.
