Just souped a roll of Tri-X that had been in the camera over a year (Pentax 6x7 I've borrowed). the negs have come out very blue looking, is this insufficient fixing? I seem to remember tri-x needing a lot of fix or something similar? I used FX39 for 9 mins to dev, kodak stop and I think a tetenal fixer for about 3-4 mins (it cleared a clip of adox CHS-50 in about 2 mins to check it was ok).

any suggestions other than re-fixing it?

It's Tmax that requires a lot of fixing, and they go purple.
Try a refix and wash or it could be a little bit of fogging or base fog.
If they scan/print OK then I wouldn't worry too much.

You didn't say how long you washed it for, and how?

flowed tap water through the spiral for 10 mins, lid off the jobo tank, funnel in the center fill tube to fill the tank and under the tap with a constant flow of water overflowing out of the tank.

Cheers, I know it was a kodak film that needed more fixing.

Well I re fixed and washed, handily I had just folded the bit of tape over when deving it so I had an unexposed strip of film. this cleared lovely in the re fix so the exposed film is fogged, quite evenly I might add, any ideas on possible causes?

I stuffed another roll in last night thinking it may be a film issue, this one is Portra 400NC dated 06 2005 but its been in the fridge/freezer. I'll try and get that run out by lunch and take it into town for developing.
