Traveling Sites (not as in Pikeys)

Hi guys,

I'm looking at arranging a trip down the Amazon River, and i'm trying to sort something a little more adventurous than the 'River Cruises' that Google seems to favour.

Does anyone know of (or even better used) any good Travel sites for a simular trip?

Have a look over at the Lonely Planet forums, been a while, but they did have forums for different regions, someone is bound to have done a similar thing before.
