Anyone got any suggestions for annual travel insurance for Vietnam and Mexico, based on experience please...?

look at a yearly policy we have done for years

Insure and Go.
I had a nightmare with them a few years ago with a claim in USA. They took six months to pay and their excuse was they were busy in the summer!

We now use a Lloyds Bank account add on which is, Allianz and the last claim we had was OK. Prior to that they used AXA who were excellent.

If I had to choose I would probably go with Aviva who I think use CEGA as a emergency assist partner and have a good reputation

I previously used "Insure and Go" for annual policies, but for many years now my travel insurance needs have been covered by my Lloyds packaged bank account. I've never needed to make a claim.

I've taken your advice (along with other stuff I've been reading) and gone with Aviva. My now-retired old insurance broker used to recommend them for other cover for us.
I had a nightmare 5 weeks in Corsica last year when my 93 year old mum was on holiday out there and got ill - took so long to get her repatriated and then I only got back a small amount of my claim. Now I'd rather pay more in the ( possibly naïve) hope that should things go wrong it won't be so hard to get a claim dealt with.
