Hi all!

at 15/20 june i'll start a travel from venice (italy) bringing my motorbike to london.

I'd like to visit France, because i never been there. but where can i go?**** are the most beautifoul place to visit?

ps...I don't want to go to paris, next time, and a weekend, or a week:naughty:

You should do the Dordogne region, the Loire valley and the Rhone-Alpes, to name but a few.

France is a wonderful country with so much stunning landscape.

But if you google the three areas I've said above, that will give you a starting point

From italy I think you will pass (or can) the millau viaduct.. It really is a must visit if you can.. there are many camps sites and a nice town below for an overnight stay as well.. but even just to pass over it, take some pictures. It really is awesome.

i think i will cross the chanell to england at calais, it's te nearest! and with the ferry, 30 miles more it could more than two hours

i choose to going towar the coast because a lot of people says it's amazing!
i'm not sure, perhaps i cold go to le mans and then rouen, there two fantastic car/motorbike circuit, and I'd like to see both two!

i have to decide :-D

i much prefer the east - lyon, dijon, rheims.
you basically go right thru the burgundy region and then onto the champagne region.

whatever way you go, try and avoide the motorways, the toll charges are really really expensive.

Hi Lolly56stk,

I'd have to say if you're going on a bike, you're missing out on some of the most fantastic roads going west from Montpellier.

If it were me, I'd be seeking out mountain passes and gorges, sweeping hairpins and endless bends but that's my requirements for a bike ride and I accept they may not be everyone's cup of tea.

I've just come back from 5 days in the Millau region on my bike. It was stupendous in terms of the roads and scenery.

You could scoot east and then North from Millau, take in some amazing roads and then head west towards the coast from Clermont Ferrand for instance.

An example, and what we did, was Millau through the Gorge Du Tain (Stunning) towards Meyrueis and then towards Ales on the D9.

The most fantastic biking road is then the D906 heading North out of Ales to Langogne. That is superb and about 40 miles of bend after bend after bend with all the scenery you could ever want.

Millau

I'd bin off Dieppe, I found it very boring when we were there. Rouen is far more interesting in my opinion and would only leave you a couple of hours from Calais. Or head to Caen and visit the Memorial.
