Yes
I have just been given two big boxes of old transparencies & negatives.

Please can anyone suggest a reasonably priced scanner for both of these that will also produce decent results.
Ideally it must also be able to run on Vista & 7 although I have still got an old lappy with XP on it.

I have seen some real cheap scanners on the internet but they sound too cheap to be any good, maybe someone can dispel this belief :D
Thanks.

If they're 35mm then you can either pay £40 + for one of the cheap scanners that does a reasonable job for the money, pay a bit more and get a flat bed that does film and slides or pay £200 + for a dedicated film scanner.

Here's two downsized results from the cheap Aldi scanner.

Both negatives over 15 yrs old.
