Hi

I have Photoshop CS4 on both my work and (old) laptop.

I am wanting to transfer it to my new laptop.

I understand from the Adobe website you can have CS4 on two machines using the same serial code, but you just can’t use it at the same time (Photoshop that is)

Just wanted some advice on how to do this? Do I simply install a train version of PS and then enter my activation/serial number to activate the full version, or is it more complicated than this.

I do not have the disks for the it either :|

I also have Paint Shop Pro and various other programmes I woudl like to copy over. :(

We are using Photoshop CS4 here at work, on two different imacs, simultaneously, with the same serial code. :) No problems at all, and there's no need to re-enter the codes.

If I wanted to put it on a third machine, I would need to buy another copy.

HTH

Thanks, :) does help, going to be doing some fiddling around tonight, as I have tons of software that I would like on my new laptop :)

I thought it was one desktop and one laptop, if owned by the same person/company.

You would need to uninstall it from your old laptop, then as you say download the trial version and enter your serial number.

The Adobe license states that you can have one copy on a desktop and one copy on a laptop ( To paraphrase). You should de-register one copy before you install the second.

However when I loaded my copy onto a second laptop, prior to de- registering from the first ,it seemed to take it fine. Simply loaded from disk, entered serial no and away it went, never did deactivate it.

You can check your registration details as the Adobe web site, under "my account".

the way I understand it (with CS3 at least) you can have it installed and registered on one desktop and one laptop at the same time, should you want to change the machine it is on you need to unregister (not uninstall) it from your old laptop and then register it on your new laptop. downloading the trial should be fine.
