Transfer of images at football grounds

Quick update

Didn't fully manage to test it at SJP during the game as it was a little chaos. Ran with the wireless most of the game but when that slowed at the end I switched to dongle in the wire room and with around 25 people sending out images they still flew out, back there a week Thurs so will try and run only dongle but can't see it being any worse than Sunderland in all honesty as SJP is better signal wise

Its getting htere. tough on Saturday though, Had Jonas Cele, mata goal / cele, lampard cele and Sissoko scores at the other end and its all about him

Was soem celebrations at the end from the players but again, all about Sissoko

Plenty of publications from Boro and Pools, the odd one fron NUFC. still to crack Sunderland

Think I am at double figures for nationals so far

Thats good going seeing you must be battling against Getty, AP etc to get in the nationals

Thanks

It is tough but I enjoy it at the same time, tough at the bigger grounds though as there is usually a couple of club snappers at say Newcastle plus atleast one Getty, AP, AI, Reuters and and a couple more the like so it can be tough

I used to love going upto St James just for the food  One of those clubs were something is always going on so popular with most agencies/freelancers.

I prefer the sandwich platter at Sunderland I have to say, not fond of pie and peas at SJP

Love the rest of the experience though thats for sure, helps being a Newcastle fan though, there was no worse place as a NUFC fan at Sunderland on boxing day after there win and announcing NUFC lose.

seen mince and dumplings once, snappers never seem keen when its put out lol

no three courses though thats for sure unless you say bun, pie and peas then a biscuit lol

Thanks

Thats what its all about - beating the big boys. good feeling when you get a hit.

If anyone else is interested in grounds and 3g signals still..i was at Stamford Bridge today. couldnt get anything out with '3' throughout the game, even tho i had some signal, there wi-fi wasn't too bad, but did slow down when everyone was on it quite considerably.

I had a mare at Sunderland yesterday to.

Wifi was a no go as I went into the far corner away from it, images were slow to go so I focussed on the main ones going out. with the other 20-25 fling out at the final whistle once it quietened down

I was sat next to Getty / Reuters snappers, must have managed to get pics out quicker than they did and had 3 hits on the Mail Online yesterday so pleased with that, not sure about papers today, not looked yet

Was images with Jack Wilshere as he got injured close by, hope he is back soon though, was great to watch him yesterday in full flow

Steven

I have the 3 Mifi (3g one). Monthly rolling contract £15 gives me 10Gb. If you do 2 year contract you get 15Gb for the same price.

I use mine for my internet connection at work otherwise I'd go for the 1Gb.

Works better at Charlton but very iffy at Millwall. Only been to Palace once and it was iffy there as well.

Yeah same here, I use 1gb however, no need to have more as football is its only use for me

My Laptop is knackered,Is their something I could connect my Canon 600d with my Samsung Note2 to send images?

Sorry, I'm new to this :)

Rudi

I doubt that you will be able to plug in the Note to your camera to transfer, edit and then send images.

You can get a card reader for the samsung note. There are rudimentary file editing software such as snapseed or photoshop touch, but I don't know about apps that will help with captioning and keywording.

Alternatively a eye-fi card could possibly work?
