Good evening. The place where I work, a quarry in Northumberland, is full of wildlife. Fresh tracks each morning of a few different species (Badger, Fox and Deer). It had me thinking about the trail cameras you can get and set up and leave over night and has a motion sensor to trigger it. The trouble is I don't know a thing about them. Can any one recommend one that doesn't cost the earth?

Sometimes Aldi or LIdl do cheap(ish) trail cameras, ie about £70, but I don't know how they perform. I use a Bushnell which works well, but it was about £170.

BTW If you get a trail camera, viewing the results can become addictive.

Acorn also make very good trail cameras which can also send pictures to your mobile phone remotely , look on ebay for the more expensive version

I've got a swann outback, which was £69, when on one of the many offers at maplins.
for a cheap and cheerful I am very impressed with its performance.

I have recently just supplemented it with a bushnell HD, on safari next week so will have them both up and running :)
