A boy in my son's class died last week of a brain haemorrhage.

Only 17 years old.

I had a look back from when he used to play in the rugby team with my son. I had a few photos with him in but not the centre of focus.

However I also had video of 2 games from 3 years ago when he was playing.

I made DVDs of the games last night and will be dropping them off with the head teacher tomorrow.

I cannot imagine what his parents are going through at the moment, but if they don't have any video of him, then hopefully in time they will be able to watch it and remember the good times.

Brings a tear to my eyes just writing this.

The moral of the story was - you never know when something you have as an image of a video may be important.

R.I.P Its such a shame when they die at such a young age, a parent should never have to bury their child :'(

That is very kind of you, he will live forever in their memories but to his parents eyes all they will have are photo's and videos. They are really priceless and valuable!

Good on ya!

Edit: Just to add i never delete any photo's or videos ever, no matter how bad they come out, i put them all on a external hard drive and one day i know they will become priceless and really valuable. I had 2 family members who died within 6 months of each other a wee while ago and 1 thing that always reminds me of them are photo's. One of the cousin's recorded a couple of tracks in a recording studio so its always nice to be able to hear their voice which for me is priceless.

A great shame. A good friend of mine lost her daughter a couple of years ago just a few days after her 18th. I spent the next week or so trawling through old folders and external drives to find whatever shots i could of her. The vast majority were technically rubbish, but you cant replace the memories I guess. I was glad I still had them.

Rob, agree with what Phil said, very sad, but good that you are able to provide something that will give them some happy memories.

Shocking story Rob, great that you could find something that will give something back. Good one fella.

Power to your elbow Rob, its a wonderful gift that you are giving them, its a shame it is in such sad circumstances.

Well done Rob.
