TP app

I downloaded and installed the TP app on my iPhone 4 yesterday. Last night there was a number 1 on the app icon, now there is a 3.
They obviously refer to something, but what? I have no new messages or anything outstanding. What do the numbers mean?

Subscribed threads that people have responded to or old threads.....

Hit the more button on the bottom and then chose subscribed. If you have new comments on subscribed threads they'll be in bold. Once you click though the red number will disappear from the app icon on the homepage
